Ultimate Food Preservation is a food blog dedicated to making small-batch food preservation simple and approachable. Aimed at young families and individuals in suburban settings, the blog offers easy-to-follow recipes for canning, pickling, dehydrating, and more, without the need for a full-scale homestead. I worked on developing the brand’s visual identity and content design, focusing on clarity, warmth, and accessibility to help demystify traditional food preservation techniques for a modern, younger audience.
For this project, I drew inspiration from 1970s food packaging design to tap into a sense of nostalgia. This retro influence was a strategic choice to create an emotional connection as many in the target audience associate food preservation with family kitchens of their childhood. To ensure the overall look remained fresh and accessible, I balanced it with a clean, contemporary aesthetic . The result is a design that feels familiar yet modern, helping to position food preservation as approachable, fun, and relevant for today’s home cooks.
